4. Experiences

The following picture is a snapshot while installing about 100M of programs on the laptop which took more than three hours. I recognised no problems.

/proc/net/dev reported about 2% of lost ppp-packets and in /var/log/messages I also found some lines about a "non responding server". This is due to the weak serial chip on the laptop and no big problem. It only means a bit more time for transfers.
